Summary[edit | edit source]

It's Skippy's birthday. Even though his family is dirt poor, they give him a penny for his birthday. The Sheriff of Nottingham bursts in and takes the penny for taxes. When Robin Hood arrives, he sees how sad they are, and gives Skippy his bow and arrows and his hat. They go out to practice, but Skippy accidentally shoots an arrow over the wall and punctures Prince John's raft. The Prince thinks Robin did it and sends his men after him. Little John disguises himself as a pie seller, enters the castle, and tells the Prince he hides his money in Sherwood Forest. Prince John and Sir Hiss go to the forest to try and find the money, but Robin is waiting there. He and Little John trick Prince John out of his own gold and give it to the poor people, including the Rabbit family, and give Skippy back his penny.
