Summary[edit | edit source]

Friar Tuck and Oliver Mouse long for the return of King Richard to end the oppression of Prince John. Robin Hood and Little John echo this sentiment. The Sheriff of Nottingham arrives and pries open the poor box to take its contents for taxes. When The Merry Men object, the lot are jailed, except Oliver, whom people seldom notice. He uses his small size and inconspicuous to his advantage to free his friends and save the day.
